They provide education on how substance and gambling addictions begin in evidence-based individual and group therapy treatment sessions. Intensive or traditional outpatient programs may serve as the first level of addiction treatment or as a step down from a more intensive residential treatment option.

The traditional outpatient program requires five hours or less each week and the intensive outpatient treatment requires more than five hours each week. You have access to highly trained medical staff and counselors.

During your intensive outpatient treatment, meals are also provided since you’re there for much of the day.
