About Bellefaire JCB
Bellefaire JCB is an agency that provides youth and adolescents a variety of education substance abuse, behavioral health, and prevention services in Cleveland, Ohio. It’s near John Carroll University and several other educational academies. The organization is accredited by The Joint Commission and is certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
If you have an adolescent between the ages of 11-17 years of age, they may be able to receive residential treatment. Enrollees must have a diagnosed co-occurring substance abuse and mental health condition. The facility is on 32 acres with secured units. They offer two self-contained LGBTQ+ friendly, co-ed units.
I think it's neat that they have a multidisciplinary case management team. Their staff consists of a licensed dietician, registered nurse, case managers, child and adolescent psychiatrists and psychologists, as well as a licensed mental health and substance use disorder clinician that is dually trained.
During your child's time in treatment, they’ll learn anger and stress management skills. Support will also be provided so that your child can sustain their sobriety and relapse prevention.
What stood out to me is that on site they have their own school named The Reserve School. This is available to those students who are attending residential treatment. It’s a non-public charter school and is for those who are in grades 6th-12th grade. Most classes focus on life skills, such as problem solving and critical thinking. There are three classrooms, and each one has a total of 10 students. There are also interventionists and educational aides standing by.
