Baystate Behavioral Health Griswold Center provides outpatient mental health and addiction recovery in Palmer, Massachusetts. They are a nonprofit organization with a mission to improve the health of community members with quality and compassion. Most insurance plans are accepted.

Their outpatient program provides both individual and group therapy, early recovery groups and individual counseling for adolescents. The team consists of around 31 clinicians made up of psychiatrists and therapists. In partnership with the court system, they also have an operating under the influence (OUI) second offender program.

With individual therapy, you will be able to address the cause of your addiction, among other things. I like that with group therapy, you will see that you are not alone on your recovery journey. You will be able to learn from experiences that are shared by others, as they learn from your experiences. You will be able to relate with your peers and build a strong sober community for yourself.

If needed, they are able to provide medication assisted treatment (MAT) if you have an opioid use disorder. The medications they use are Suboxone and Vivitrol. These medications will help ease your withdrawal symptoms and reduce your cravings. With your symptoms under control, you can better concentrate on your recovery.
