About Childrens Hope Alliance Statesville

Children’s Hope Alliance in Statesville, North Carolina treats and supports children, youth, young adults and their caregivers when mental health and behavioral concerns interfere with quality of life. This is their headquarters and they can direct you to the appropriate service for you when you contact them. Most major health insurance plans are accepted including state and federal plans.

On top of substance abuse treatment for youth struggling with addiction they also help children and youth who have developmental, neurodevelopmental and learning challenges. They have programs for children and youth who require foster care or residential treatment due to an unsafe home environment or due to their behavior causing them not to be safe.

Emotional regulation and healing from trauma are two of the main goals of the support offered at Children’s Hope Alliance.

Comprehensive Support and Therapy Programs

Children’s Hope Alliance has several programs to help children, youth and families. Some behavior and emotional health programs and individual or family counseling starts with children as young as three years old. They have a day treatment program that includes an educational curriculum. The day program is open to children and youth from ages five to 18.

There is a Child ACTT program which provides Child-focused Assertive Community Treatment Teams for families and children in need of healing and support. I appreciate that the first priority of every program here is personal safety and meeting the social determinants of health needs. This means making sure families have shelter, sustenance, clothing, medication, and other necessities.

Healing the Mind, Body, and Spirit

Once the basic necessities and safety of individuals are ensured, the focus expands to include evidence-based treatment with psychiatry and medication management, respite care, individual, group and family counseling, care coordination, and healing.

I noted that there is a program for youth aged eight to 20 that provides treatment alternatives for Sexualized Kids (TASK). It emphasizes self-regulation and communication.
The treatment program for behavioral issues, including substance abuse and addiction issues, also focuses on emotional and behavioral regulation.

Creating a Safe Home Environment

Children’s Hope Alliance works to create a safe home environment for every child, adolescent, or young adult. Whether that is through family counseling, finding a foster home, or providing the skills for them to be independent and make healthy choices.
