About Intensive Residential Treatment Perinatal Addiction Program
Broward Addiction Recovery Center (BARC) provides substance abuse and mental health treatment for adults 18 and older. They offer detox, residential, and outpatient (OP) programs. They include a program for pregnant women that follows them through delivery and treatment for women with children seven and under. You’ll find ‘em out in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Those needing detox will find a comfortable, peaceful environment for recovery. They have medically managed detox, which includes medication assisted treatment (MAT) to ease withdrawal symptoms and reduce drug cravings. You’ll have 24-hour nursing care to ensure comfort and safety.
Residential treatment is a 60-day program and is appropriate for those needing the structure and support to concentrate on recovery without outside distractions. The outpatient program can be used as a step-down service or as a flexible option for people who want to live at home while getting treatment.
When you attend counseling sessions, you can work on discovering the root causes of their addiction issues. These sessions may assist with developing healthy coping skills, recognizing substance use triggers, and learning relapse prevention strategies.
You’ll attend 12 Step meetings that help you take ownership of your actions and accept accountability for your recovery. They also help provide a support network of others with a shared goal of long-term sobriety.
Family counseling is available and can help mend relationships affected by drug or alcohol use. It can also help loved ones set healthy boundaries that help with ongoing recovery efforts.
The program includes connections with community programs that assist with job skills and employment searches. The goal is to prepare you for a productive lifestyle after treatment that helps you remain sober.
They accept many commercial health insurance plans and offer a sliding fee scale for those without insurance coverage or who need financial assistance.
