About Azleway Substance Abuse Program

Azleway Substance Abuse Program (ASAP) is a substance abuse recovery program operated by the faith based Azleway group in Big Sandy, Texas, just east of the Sabine River. In addition to its teenage drug and alcohol addiction treatment program, Azleway operates adoption and foster care programs. ASAP's substance abuse treatment program is rooted in building and restoring vital family relationships to support ongoing recovery. Services offered by ASAP include counseling (for individuals and groups), relapse prevention education and training, experiential therapies, and family support services. Clients in ASAP can also receive academic support from Azleway's own charter school.

ASAP specializes in dual diagnosis treatment. Substance abuse often exists alongside other mental health diagnoses. When this occurs, the coexisting problems can worsen each other's symptoms and make treatment more difficult. Dual diagnosis treatment reduces this risk by addressing the symptoms of both problems at once. Dual diagnosis care is integrated into a client's treatment plan. Azleway is a nonprofit organization.
