About Aware Inc

Helena is the state capital of Montana and the home of AWARE’s Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). The Clinic provides outpatient mental health and substance use care, crisis support, veteran programs and case management.

No one is denied access to AWARE’s CCBHC because they cannot afford treatment. They accept Medicaid and other insurance plans and also have a sliding fee scale available.

Traditional Treatment and Therapeutic Recreation

The CCBHC provides individual and group counseling for both mental health and substance use. They can also give you integrated care for a dual diagnosis. The veterans’ program focuses on the unique needs of this group, including a focus on PTSD and peer support from fellow veterans.

The clinic can also provide medical screenings and support psychiatric medication management. If you have a crisis, they can help or provide you with additional resources, and everyone has access to peer support from those who have been through this journey already.

One unique program I noticed at AWARE is therapeutic recreation. This individualized program helps clients have experiences in nature that they enjoy, including hiking, biking and more. The process helps people reduce stress, manage their symptoms and find substance free activities they love.

Employment Readiness and Support Programs

I think another helpful part of AWARE’s services is their job support. They help clients determine their work skills and what accommodations they need to be successful at work.

Then, AWARE connects to employers to provide training and meaningful jobs with proper accommodations. They also help employers understand how to integrate the new employees and support them in the process.

Benefits of recreational therapy include providing a healthy way to work through the emotions of recovery, learning to build and maintain relationships, improving communication skills, and building self-esteem.

Private Rooms

In order to maintain a sense of autonomy, many private rehab facilities offer clients the ability to choose their own private rooms. The privacy and personal space ensure that the recovery process is as comfortable as possible.

Metropolitan Area

Addiction treatment in the metro area benefits clients by offering seamless connections from the city, around the state, and those seeking out-of-state treatment. Another benefit of attending a metro area drug rehab is that you’re close to major airports and ground transportation services.
