About Avivo Minneapolis

Avivo supports individuals with mental health and substance use addiction. This nonprofit behavioral and social organization is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They offer chemical health assessment and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) for individuals over 18. Family intensive outpatient treatment is also available for pregnant and parenting women with children ranging from infants to age 17.

Their services help folks with chemical health diagnoses and those with co-occurring disorders. The latter is when someone is simultaneously dealing with mental health and substance abuse. Programs involve 15 to 25 hours of weekly programming including individual and group therapy. The family service may also include family and child development, parenting education and codependency/relationship.

Recovery housing is provided during treatment when available and appropriate for both individual and family intensive outpatient care. Dependent children up to age 17 can live with their mothers in these residences while they receive treatment. You can expect to receive “whole person” care that is culturally responsive and trauma informed.

Their individualized services incorporate wellness activities including mindfulness, nutrition and smoking cessation. There's also a Seeking Safety and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) skills group that teaches coping strategies for trauma and emotional regulation. The therapeutic sessions help you address personal issues fueling your substance use and develop solid coping skills to overcome those triggers. You'll learn essential life skills like communication, healthy relationships and stress/anger management. These promote relapse prevention and lasting recovery.

I think the best thing about this program is that it offers you access to Avivo's Institute of Career & Technical Education where you can pursue credentialed career paths. Integrating your recovery with technical education and employment services provides the fastest route to overall wellness and stability.

They also help those struggling with homelessness, unemployment and poverty. They’re CARF accredited which indicates a commitment to quality services.

Adult Program

When an individual struggles with drug and alcohol use, an adult program in Minnesota can provide treatment and mental health support. Designed for men and women over the age of 18, these programs help individuals obtain and maintain sobriety.

Alcoholism

The goal of alcohol rehab in Minnesota is to help you make mental and behavioral changes that lead to recovery and long-term sobriety. Most methods rely on a combination of group and individual counseling to accomplish these goals.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy in Minnesota is based on rapid, action-focused treatment. This works well for 60 to 90-day rehab programs by providing participants with immediate and effective coping techniques.

Opioid Treatment

After evaluating your needs and budget, staff at opioid rehab in Minnesota will help you determine the length of your treatment and its intensity level, to properly address your degree of opioid dependence. Most programs include detox, addiction therapy, specialized care, and aftercare support.

Women's Rehab

During women’s rehab in Minnesota, women participate in evidence-based therapies to treat their substance use disorders. Therapy methods include individual, group, family, cognitive-behavioral, and dialectical behavior therapy.

Teen & Adolescent Program

Recovery is not the same for young adults as it is for older individuals. A young adult program in Minnesota treats the patient as a whole, addressing unique life-stage challenges, dual diagnosis issues, and substance abuse.
