About Avenues Counseling Center

Avenues Counseling Center (ACC) is a trusted outpatient counseling center in St. Louis, Missouri. I find them to be a welcoming environment because they invite you to ask the difficult questions and to share your unique story. ACC truly wants to walk with you on your path to recovery.

Client Centered Services

This counseling center can treat more than drug and alcohol addiction. They have compassionate staff that can help you with dependencies on substances, gambling, food, exercise, and sex. They will work with you to overcome feelings of fear and shame and ultimately achieve freedom.

They provide counseling services for challenges such as depression, anxiety and grief and loss along with addiction. Their counseling program also extends group counseling for men, teens, and parents. Additionally, I find their six week intensive outpatient program for teens to be of value as this addresses emotional regulation and crisis response strategies.

Making Addiction and Mental Health Care Affordable for Everyone

ACC accepts a wide range of insurance plans and EAPs. Their out of pocket fees vary based on a counselor's experience and credentials. If you’re having a hard time affording treatment, they also offer scholarships for those who have a need and qualify.

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT)

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is an integrative, community-based care strategy designed to address the needs of persons with severe and/or complex mental illness or behavioral disorders. ACT is typically provided by a multidisciplinary team of medical and mental health care providers, social workers, therapists, and other specialists, including addiction recovery professionals. These services are frequently provided in the home and community to clients in crisis, those who are clinically unstable, and those who are unable or unwilling to travel to a hospital or clinic for in-person treatment.
