About Lakeview Behavioral Health — Arrowhead Center
Lakeview Behavioral Health has several locations across Minnesota. At their Arrowhead Center location, they provide behavioral health care services for adults, adolescents and children. They offer outpatient mental health, substance use treatment, psychiatry and dual diagnosis services including medication assisted treatment (MAT).
MAT combines counseling with FDA approved medication as a proven method to combat opioid addiction. it targets both the mental and physical aspects of addiction. It is effective on many types of opioids including codeine, morphine, oxycodone, heroin and fentanyl. This is an outpatient treatment that allows you to continue to attend to your responsibilities at home or work.
Clients also get access to three types of therapy: group, family and individual. Family therapy is for spouses, friends and family members of people who struggle with addiction. These interactive group sessions focus on how addiction impacts family dynamics. Group members will get learning tools and resources to help them support their loved ones' recovery.
In individual therapy, you'll have a one-on-one tailored program that helps you address the root causes of your addiction. This is also effective for those with co-occurring disorders. You'll develop healthy coping strategies, increase your resilience and work toward recovery.
Group therapy sessions are led by experienced counselors and give you access to peer support. The sessions build a community of support and encouragement while keeping you accountable as you develop coping skills and relapse-prevention techniques. I like that Lakeview Behavioral Health offers a weekly alumni group. This welcoming group is open to all clients and you don't need to register for it.
