About Anasazi Foundation
The Anasazi Foundation is located in Mesa, Arizona. This is a recovery facility that has a therapeutic wilderness program primarily for 12-17 year olds. There are specialized programs that will serve teens and adults with behavioral health and substance use disorders.
There are various financial arrangements available. You may also qualify for financial assistance.
The treatment approach offered here is their Wilderness Walking Program. There are specialized teen and adult walking programs. As you move through this program, your child will be a part of a group of individuals who go on hiking and camping excursions. Trained and experienced staff members will hike and camp alongside them.
Parents are also provided education programs and prevention strategies. That way, they can help nip any of their kids’ addictions in the bud before they grow.
The philosophy of this program is to empower individuals to feel that they have control over their emotions and the challenges they encounter in life. This program is designed to build grit and a growth mindset so that behavioral health struggles are managed. This is especially important for children who are at risk of a substance use disorder.
There is also a clinical approach to care offered. For example, there are individual and group counseling services to support you or your loved one. Teenagers and adults will learn how to identify their triggers and how to manage stressful emotions. You and your family will learn coping skills that will empower you to make good decisions that lead to healthy habits.
Family involvement is also strongly encouraged here. Your loved ones will be empowered to learn the strategies and techniques they need to help you succeed.
