AMIkids Bennettsville has been serving youth in South Carolina since 1996. Youth who need residential care for a number of reasons can discover their potential and transform their lives. Mentors and caregivers at this location provide around the clock care and a sense of family.

Residential Care for Troubled Youth in Bennettsville

AMIKids accepts youth who have a range of severe behavioral, psychological or emotional challenges. These may include mental health and substance use to truancy, trauma, aggression and other concerns. Youth reside on campus in a 24/7 program. Staff run trauma informed programming to help them gain the skills they need to transition back home or to a community setting.

The multidisciplinary team provides a treatment plan that provides the therapeutic programs to meet the needs of each resident. I like their mentoring program which provides individual and small group mentoring to help youth develop life skills, get to try new opportunities, access resources and make relationships.

Child Welfare Group Care

When youth need out of home living, AMIkids can offer a child welfare group care home. This 24 hour group home takes youth who need to live away from home. They are given individual support to help them heal from past hurt and focus on their bright future.

The success stories from past graduates of this program are impressive. Many alumni speak about the way AMIkids helped turn them from defiant teens to focused and successful adults.
