About Alternative Paths, Inc.

Alternative Paths, Inc. (API) is a CARF accredited nonprofit community behavioral health provider in Medina, Ohio offering outpatient addiction and mental health services.

API is committed to delivering integrated recovery oriented care that meets each client where they are and supports lasting change.

The team treats alcohol and drug addiction, opioid use disorder, and co-occurring mental health conditions through psychiatry and medication assisted options.

Outpatient Addiction Treatment and MAT

API's core focus is outpatient substance use treatment including standard outpatient counseling, Intensive Outpatient Program services, and continuing care for clients in all stages of recovery.

Specialized programming includes opioid use disorder treatment, Vivitrol counseling and injections, and DWI assessments and education classes.

Sessions combine counseling with evidence based practices that build coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and life skills.

Clients also benefit from connections to recovery housing supports and community based recovery resources which I know reinforces progress outside of treatment.

Integrated Mental Health and Wraparound Support

Alongside addiction services API provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and counseling for co-occurring mental health concerns with both in-office and virtual settings.

We know that wraparound supports such as case management, peer support, and supportive employment services help clients address essential needs while working toward stability.
