About Alpha Home
In San Antonio, Texas Alpha Home offers a spiritual based program to treat addiction. Using the 12 steps as a guide, this program includes the values of discipline, spirituality, dedication and productivity. They provide treatment even if you can’t pay. Focusing on your spiritual and physical needs helps you to reach lasting recovery.
They have a residential program for women over 18. You'll stay in a recently renovated, home-like environment. You’ll share a room with one to three other women. Alpha home has two houses with large bedrooms, kitchens, family rooms and outdoor patios. There's lots of space for you to spread out while still having peer support from the other residents.
During treatment, you'll develop the coping skills that you need to live a life of sobriety. Treatment will address all the aspects of recovery that you’ll face so you’re well prepared. Staff are available to you 24/7 you'll also have access to a case manager. Your case manager will connect you to community resources with their community partners so you get all the support you need.
You'll take part in individual and group counseling, parenting and family groups and learn about women's health and wellness. I like that they introduce you to sober activities so that you can meet people and add to your sober network. Dedicated recovery coaches are also there to support your journey.
Oklahoma also has an outpatient program for folks who don't require residential care. Generally, people stay in this level of care for four to six months. It includes many of the programs and treatments as residential care including individual and group counseling. You also have access to anger management and domestic violence education and relapse support. You'll learn life skills and get family and parenting education.
The alumna association lets you stay in touch with your sisters at Alpha House. As an alumna, you’ll be a sponsor and guide to women in treatment. There are no fees or dues to join.
