About Aloha House, Inc.
Aloha House provides comprehensive addiction treatment for adults in Makawao, Hawaii. CARF-accredited inpatient and outpatient services are customized based on your needs. They accept most major health insurance plans. If you do not have insurance, you may qualify for a grant that provides free treatment.
They are able to treat both substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health disorders. They have different levels of care that include medical detox, residential treatment and outpatient treatment. I like that they are also able to provide a sober living facility.
Detoxing at Aloha House
Their medical detox has nursing care that is available around the clock. Medication will be used to help you manage your withdrawal symptoms so that you can focus on your recovery.
Most people stay in detox for about five to seven days. You will be provided with meals during your stay.
Structured Care
The average length of stay for their residential program is between four and six weeks. Your needs and progress will determine how long your stay will be.
I like that you will have a daily schedule to follow, as it provides structure. Aside from counseling, you’ll attend group sessions that are gender specific, and you’ll attend life skill classes.
They will provide three daily meals and 24/7 support. I like that you’ll also be able to participate in recreational activities. You will have the opportunity to go on outdoor excursions and beach trips.
Outpatient treatment is also available. You can attend these counseling sessions in person or via telehealth.
