About The Crossings at Alliance Health Center

The Crossings at Alliance Health Center in Meridian, Mississippi is a residential treatment facility that supports boys who are aged 12 to 17 and are struggling with a conduct disorder. There's also a specialized program for boys who have committed a sexual offense.

Within the program, there are support services that address struggles with substance use, as well. I find it beneficial that there’s also a fully accredited school on the premises. Here boys can continue working through their academics so that they can receive their GED.

The average stay is anywhere from 3 to 6 months but boys with severe behavioral health needs can live here for up to 8 months.

Substance Use Recovery Support

The substance use treatment program here relies heavily on evidence based practices and community building. Children will work through their substance use struggles in a group setting where they'll learn different skills and strategies to help manage their emotions.

There are also recreational activities and structured therapy sessions that I think do a strong job of empower boys to build healthy life habits like understanding boundaries, learning how to regulate their emotions, and how to seek out other activities in their day-to-day life that will keep them from relapsing.
