About Allendale Association
Allendale Association is located on West Grand Avenue in Lake Villa, Illinois. They provide behavioral health services to youth to treat and address mental health issues. They provide referrals for those experiencing co-occurring addictions.
They are located in a residential, rural community with access to medical facilities, retail stores and local businesses. They are also close to many natural landmarks including Savanna Spring Park, Orchard Park and many local lakes.
Mental Health Programs for Youth
They offer several programs for youth and adults to address mental health. Their Relational Re-Enactment Systems Approach to Treatment or Restart program provides adolescents and children with mental health care and support.
I think it’s unique that they focus on addressing “conflict cycles” and trauma youth may have experienced through re-enactments of attachment experiences. These services help to guide families and break free from these cycles.
Residential Treatment Program on a Large Estate
At Allendale, they offer therapeutic behavioral health services at their residential treatment program. This program is intended for youth experiencing a crisis with co-occurring emotional and behavioral health problems.
They provide youth with a safe space to learn, grow and heal that is structured around medical and behavioral health services and support. I think it’s great that their facility offers 120 acres of land to explore and play including a lake and outdoor planned therapeutic activities.
On-Grounds School with Therapy and Counseling
I love that the program offers an on-site school, daily group therapy and one on one counseling. They provide access to health services which are provided by their integrated care team of nurses, psychiatrists and local community medical facilities. They provide care for children as young as five and up to 12 years old.
Referrals to Addiction Treatment and Support Services
They also offer onsite outpatient services for youth at their Bradley Counseling Center. This program addresses and treats youth that are struggling with depression, grief, stress and behavioral issues among other conditions. They may also offer referral services to those experiencing co-occurring substance use issues to affiliated medical and treatment facilities.
