About Al-Con Counseling, Inc.

Al-Con Counseling, Inc. is located on Walter Reed Drive in Greensboro, North Carolina. This is an outpatient counseling center that helps with addiction and mental health issues.

They are located in a dedicated one-story facility that provides ample parking for you and your family, close to several restaurants, retail stores and the Greensboro Botanical Gardens, providing you with both areas for recreation and relaxation while you seek treatment. They are accessible to Route 70 and 220 and are close to downtown Greensboro.

Counseling and Therapy with Opioid and SUD Services

They offer traditional therapy and counseling services here to support your recovery, in addition to counseling for anger management, contingency management, motivational interviewing and planning for relapse prevention. They focus on various types of addiction including opioid and alcohol.

For opioid addiction, medication treatment is provided through outside referrals. However, I found it notable that they are fully supportive of clients being treated for their conditions from outside prescribers, as they do not have a prescribing provider on site. It is also good to know that they do not allow smoking at the facility.

Accepts Court-Referred Clients

They also accept court-mandated referrals if you have been referred to mandated programs for DUI / DWI convictions and they have specialized treatment for transitional aged adults.

Essentially, if you are anywhere from 18 to 65, they have services to help you attain sobriety and recovery from co-occurring mental health issues. As a State Substance Abuse Agency, they are also fully licensed by the State Mental Health Department and the State Department of Health.

Only Accepts Self-Pay to Pay for Services

It is also worth noting that they only accept cash or self-payment for services at Al-Con Counseling. However, they may be able to work with you, should you require financial assistance for your care and treatment.
