About All Well-Being Services (AWBS)
Adult Well Being Services provides substance abuse treatment to people of all ages in Detroit, Michigan. This nonprofit provides a variety of treatment and prevention programs through general outpatient treatment services. In addition to addiction treatment programs they also provide mental and physical healthcare at the same location.
Substance abuse and the stigmas that still surround it can make you feel weak or less than others. But one factor that can make treatment more successful is a positive mindset. Adult Well Being Services empowers you by emphasizing that recovery is drawn from your unique strengths. They still rely on evidence based methods in treatment but recognize that it's your strength that ultimately takes what you learn and brings you to sobriety. You'll find this philosophy in all of their programs.
If you can't make it to their facility for treatment they can meet you at other locations or in your home. I like this because it eliminates a common hurdle to getting effective treatment.
