About Adult & Teen Challenge Connecticut
The Connecticut Men’s Center is a branch of Adult and Teen Challenge, located in Moodus, Connecticut. It offers a 10-12 month residential faith-based training program for men suffering from substance use disorder.
In the residential program for drug addiction, you’ll receive clinical counseling to discover and address the underlying issues that trigger your addiction behaviors. Additional services include education and classroom studies, recovery and life coaching, recreation, and regular exercise. After completing the program, you’re invited to apply for the 3 to 6-month apprenticeship program that further prepares them for further education, employment, and becoming a valued member of society.
To help clients successfully reintegrate back into society, they offer vocational training in several career opportunities, including carpentry, auto mechanics, culinary arts, office administration, sales and marketing, and barbering. During vocational training, you’ll learn problem-solving and workplace readiness skills, which can be used in real life following your graduation.
