About AdCare Outpatient Facility
AdCare is an organization that has provided addiction treatments and recovery services in New England since 1975. Just north of South Kingsport, Rhode Island, they used to operate their Wakefield facility, which offered detoxification and outpatient services to those struggling with substance use disorders (SUD). Although this facility is now closed, I noticed that there are other AdCare treatment facilities in Rhode Island and Massachusetts that offer inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient treatments.
Letting You Have Control Over Your Schedule
Their approach to outpatient treatments was to set them up in the most flexible manner possible to let you have the freedom to tend to other responsibilities. They offered individual and group counseling sessions, as well as a weekly meeting where they’d help equip families who were living with a loved one in recovery.
I like that they also had medication assisted treatments to help individuals with severe addictions to substances like opiates, as well as telehealth outpatient services for those who faced challenges being physically present at every appointment. This higher degree of freedom would be especially helpful for those juggling multiple responsibilities or for those focusing on building their lives and reintegrating after more intensive treatments. The flexibility would also allow you to explore and enjoy some of the local richness, such as the various shops, monuments and restaurants in the Kingston Village Historical District.
AdCare’s Broader Care Network
If the outpatient or intensive outpatient services weren’t the right fit, the staff at the Wakefield office would’ve been able to connect you to a treatment facility in AdCare’s network that could help. At their other locations, AdCare continues to offer a full continuum of SUD treatment services, including detoxification, medium and long term inpatient programs, partial hospitalization programs and outpatient care.
