About ADACCV Saras House
ADACCV’s Sara House is an alcohol and drug free recovery residence for women with a history of substance use in San Angelo, Texas. They serve pregnant women and women with or without children. Their structured and supportive setting helps these women build stability and healthy habits.
It’s really a great place to build routines, maintain sobriety and practice skills for independent living at the early stage of your recovery. That is if you’ve completed high intensity programs like detox and inpatient care. They’re located within an urban setting a short distance from downtown San Angelo. You can easily access nearby restaurants, healthcare services and public transportation.
The Concho Riverwalk lying along the Concho River is just a walking distance from the facility. You can come to this place to relax and connect to nature as that can help your mental wellbeing. It’s also a popular spot for fishing and outdoor art exhibits.
The facility itself is clean, comfy and conducive for residential care. There’s even a large backyard with a playground and an indoor play area for child visits. You’re expected to work or volunteer in the community while living onsite. This teaches you accountability and personal responsibility and even helps you acquire vocational skills.
You must also actively participate in your personalized recovery program. This involves attending at least four recovery support activities weekly. This cuts across therapy sessions, educational workshops and community self-help groups like AA and NA. Fitness exercises that support your physical and mental wellbeing may count as well. The goal is to maintain a balanced, sustained and lasting recovery.
