About Abraxas Woodridge Interventions
Abraxas Youth and Family Services is a nonprofit organization that serves over 7,000 youth, adults, and families every year. Their Naperville Bridge School is located in Woodridge, Illinois, and offers addiction services as well as services for emotional and mental health.
They serve up to 50 youth from the Naperville School District. I like that they offer two educational programs for youths with special services needs. The Naperville Bridge Day School is a private educational program designed to help up to 30 youth between the ages of 14 and 21. This means they help exclusively high school-aged individuals.
To be part of the program, you must have an emotional disability, a behavioral disorder, or other health impairments that prevent you from learning in a traditional school setting.
Learning Opportunity Program
One thing I noticed was their Naperville Alternative Learning Opportunity Program is a private educational program designed to help up to 20 individuals at one time. You must be between the ages of 14 and 18 for this program and at risk of academic failure.
Their services are guided by seven key principles, including people security, program security, accountability, role modeling, teamwork, dignity and respect, and an environment of care. All these build the foundation for a healthy recovery process.
