About Yukon Kuskokwim Delta Regional Hospital

Ideal Option Anchorage is an outpatient drug rehab facility on East Tudor Road in Anchorage, Alaska. They provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for addictions to opioids, alcohol, and methamphetamines. Medications administered include bupropion, naltrexone, and buprenorphine.

During the first visit, a staff member assesses the client’s past substance use and decides on medication dosage and scheduling. For the first couple of weeks, visits to the clinic for medication administration are scheduled every few days. A nurse checks in with clients each day to see how they are tolerating their medication. Then visits to the clinic are reduced to weekly, bi-weekly, and eventually once every 3-4 weeks, until the initial phase of treatment is complete– in about 6 months to a year. Patients can receive refills for their prescription medication during the weaning stage.

For Aftercare, patients are referred to peer-support options and counseling, as needed.
