About Youth Haven

Youth Haven in Naples, Florida supports children and teenagers who have been abused and neglected in Southwest Florida. Their dedicated team of professionals provides a safe haven for youth, as a way to help families affected by drug and alcohol addiction.

Addressing the Needs of Children Impacted by Addiction

Youth Haven first opened their doors in 1972 to children ages 6 to 18. They have a foster care group home, homeless teen group home, homeless teen transitional living program and an enrichment program to help children learn how to trust and play again.

I'm impressed that they work with children who have been affected by parental or caregiver substance use and abuse, noting that it is one of the primary reasons that children are removed from the home and enter the foster care system. Parental substance use often results in an inability to care for the child and provide inadequate supervision, but this facility gives those kids a safe place to go.

Healing Children with Evidence Based and Trauma Informed Treatment

This organization recognizes that Florida ranks as the third highest state in the nation with the number of children in foster care. They provide an environment of therapeutic healing for children using evidence based and trauma informed care through a range of therapeutic services. The goal is to prepare their residents for permanent placement using holistic approaches to creating stronger mental and behavioral health.

These approaches include art therapy, community outings, counseling and life skills classes. This therapeutic approach reduces the risk that the children will engage in alcohol or substance abuse in the future.

I like that the program is on a secluded campus where the children can feel safe and secure with ample opportunities for play. They are a non profit organization that accepts contributions to help provide care to neglected teens and children in Southwest Florida.

Levels of Care

Outpatient Rehab

Outpatient rehab in Florida focuses on relapse prevention and long-term recovery. It typically includes several counseling sessions per week as well as membership in a support group such as NA or AA. This treatment can last several weeks or several months, based on your ongoing needs.

Dual Diagnosis & Mental Health

If you are struggling with both an addiction and a mental health disorder, treatment for dual diagnosis in Florida is necessary for successful recovery. This multidisciplinary approach treats both substance abuse and co-occurring disorders such as bipolar disorder, eating disorders, depression, or anxiety.

Payment Options

Financial Aid

If you require financial assistance for alcohol and drug rehab in Florida, financial aid may be available. Financial aid options include grants, scholarships, non-profit programs, personal funding, and health insurance programs to help you manage the expense of substance abuse treatment.

Payment Plans & Financing

For those who are underinsured or uninsured, paying the total cost of a rehab program up front is not feasible. Fortunately, many alcohol and drug rehabs make financing available to potential clients through private loans, in-house payment plans, or partner lenders. You can choose a finance package that lets you start treatment immediately and pay for it later.

Medicaid Accepted

If eligible for Medicaid, coverage can aid in lowering the cost of alcohol and drug rehab in Florida. Medicaid coverage varies, but it can cover all levels of care, from detox to inpatient rehab and more.

Private Insurance

Private insurance coverage helps with the cost of alcohol and drug rehab in Florida; however the extent of coverage may depend on your rehab insurance policy and if the treatment center is in their network. It's possible you may need to pay co-payments or co-insurance fees. Check with your insurer for more information.

Self-Pay Options

Choosing self-pay options for alcohol and drug rehab in Florida means you are personally responsible for paying some or all of the costs of treatment. Examples include paying in cash, using a credit card, or taking out a personal or medical loan.

Sliding Scale Payment

If paying the full cost of alcohol and drug rehab in Florida is not feasible, a sliding scale payment plan may provide a solution. Clients are charged based upon their individual treatment needs and what they can reasonably afford to pay. To qualify for this treatment discount, you must complete an application and provide supporting financial documentation.

Medicare Accepted

If you're eligible for Medicare, there may be coverage options to help pay for alcohol and drug rehab in Florida. The amount of coverage will depend on many things, including whether you are seeking inpatient or outpatient treatment for substance abuse.
