About Safe Harbor Crisis House

Safe Harbor is a short term residential treatment program operated by Yolo Community Care Continuum. They help adults living with substance use disorder and mental health concerns. This home with 14 beds accepts new clients from healthcare providers, case managers, and insurance providers.

Safe Harbor serves as an alternative to long term hospitalization or inpatient care by focusing on immediately addressing a crisis and planning the next steps. It can also serve as a step down before returning home.

While Woodland isn't a small town, the house is situated in a quiet and rural area. If you want to venture into the more populated areas, be sure to check out the diverse food culture on offer.

You're In Control of Your Plan

Something you may appreciate about this facility is that you and staff co-develop your treatment plan. But it's more than finding the services right for you; as you work together to customize your plan, the focus is on your individual needs. It's a deeply personalized experience.

A common point among client reviews is how friendly the staff are. If you've had a difficult experience with staff in a treatment program before, the folks you work with will stand in stark contrast.

Getting Your Resources Together

During your stay, you and your care team will look toward the future while addressing your needs in the present. Together you'll determine what your next step after leaving the house will be, shaping your recovery journey.

One thing I like about the program is how it helps you identify your recovery resources. Some, like family and friends, may seem obvious, but you may be unfamiliar with the programs and groups available to you. By broadening your awareness of all the support you can get, you'll be better prepared to continue moving forward.

A Shared Community

During your stay, you and the other patients come together to take care of the home. Cleaning and meal prep are just two of the daily responsibilities you'll address. But it's not just about keeping a tidy home. It's prep for doing these things when you return home, balancing your routine with recovery. But more importantly, it brings you together with your fellow patients, creating opportunities for you to bond and support each other.

This location accepts Medicaid and some private insurance plans.

Private Transportation

Transportation services are designed to ensure your addiction treatment begins and ends successfully by offering free transportation to the rehab facility, to and from your appointments during rehab, and back home upon program completion.

Resort Setting

Resort Setting is a term used to describe many luxury addiction recovery centers due to the premium features available to clients. A variety of premium services are often also available at resort-style treatment centers, such as therapeutic massage.
