About Windmoor Healthcare of Clearwater
The Windmoor Healthcare of Clearwater is located in Clearwater, Florida. The organization is accredited by The Joint Commission. Inpatient (IP) and outpatient (OP) behavioral health treatment services are available for adult men and women.
Insurance is accepted including Medicare, TRICARE, and Wellcare. If you do not have insurance, you must complete a financial assessment. The financial assessment will determine if you qualify for Charity Care or a payment plan option.
With their accreditation, they’re able to offer dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy to just name a few. These forms of therapy are available throughout all of their treatment programs.
If it’s determined that you need inpatient treatment, detox will be included. Your therapy sessions, both individual and group, are intensive.
They have a dual diagnosis partial hospitalization program (PHP). The program requires you to attend sessions five days per week. In contrast, one step down is the intensive outpatient program (IOP) that requires you to attend three days per week for five hour days.
Both programs will teach you how to manage cravings, prevent relapses and understand your triggers. The great thing about attending the group sessions is that you are able to learn from other people's experiences and they can learn from yours. I do like that they have a flexible approach to therapy, meaning that they are able to add new therapy topics as they deem necessary.
A psychiatrist oversees all medications The counselors and social workers that lead the group sessions are licensed. They also have registered nurses that lead the group sessions.
