About WestCare Georgia Guidance Center

WestCare Guidance Center in Barnesville, Georgia is focused on restoration. Whether it’s a teenage boy in residential rehab, a woman rebuilding her life through outpatient services or a young person receiving HIV education and health testing, WestCare’s in the center.

Every part of WestCare’s work is grounded in long-term change and dignity. What stands out to me is the sheer breadth of what they offer. They have services that treat addiction, mental health, housing instability and even job readiness. And the best part of all? They’re provided at no cost to those who need them most.

Comprehensive Treatment Programs in Barnesville

The Women’s Outpatient Services at WestCare provide more than therapy. They offer a full circle of care. Clients receive individual and group counseling, case management and referrals for job training, housing support or education. The program isn’t just about helping women stay sober. It’s more about helping them thrive. Everything is free which really matters when financial barriers so often keep people from getting help.

If you’re a young person aged 12 to 17 then their CARES 2 Program meets you right where you are. I love that they’ve made street outreach such a big part of this program. They also have HIV education, testing and a judgment-free space to talk about mental health and risky behaviors.

A Place for Healing

One of the most powerful pieces of WestCare Guidance Center is the Youth Academy. This is a residential substance use treatment program that was created for boys ages 14 to 17. It’s a trauma-informed and person-centered program that’s focused on teen boys helping to discover their purpose and health.
