About Branches Houston Outpatient Mental Health

Hornwood’s Branches Outpatient Clinic is an outpatient mental behavior and substance use disorder treatment facility for teens and adults in Houston, Texas. This facility is a branch off West Oaks Hospital. This center offers in-person and telehealth services.

They accept Medicare, Medicaid, most insurance plans, and offer a self-pay option. I'm impressed that they've been accredited by The Joint Commission.

Treatments

This facility offers an array of services for substance use disorder. They use a 12 Step program approach, while offering individual and group therapy. They also offer family counseling to help your family understand what you are going through and also helping to support you. They offer anger management classes, social and life skills activities, relapse-prevention planning, aftercare support groups, and conflict resolution techniques.

Their outpatient program offers two different levels of care. They have a partial hospitalization program that you attend from 8:00 am to noon and an intensive outpatient program that you may attend from 10:00 am to noon. You and your case manager will meet to determine which is the best fit for you.

Teens Program

There’s a special track for teens that runs weekday afternoons. I noticed that kids can share their experiences and find help for drugs, peer pressure, stress, and bullying. Holistic care can include yoga and journaling.
