About Ridgeview Pavilion

Ridgeview Pavilion is a 28 bed inpatient psychiatric facility providing acute care for adults in Bristol, Virginia and the surrounding Southwest region. They specialize in short term crisis intervention, medication management and stabilization for severe mental health conditions and detoxification.

Their mission is to provide a safe, secure environment that utilizes the least restrictive interventions appropriate for clinical recovery. They're located very closed to the Tennessee and Virginia state line, not far from the junction between I-81 and 421. You'll find them just off Gale City Highway, next to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

Adult Crisis Stabilization and Psychiatric Care

Ridgeview Pavilion focuses on stabilizing adults experiencing acute psychiatric crises, such as severe depression, psychosis, or suicidal ideation. I think it's great that admissions are accepted 24 hours a day, allowing immediate access to board certified psychiatrists and a dedicated nursing team for medication assessment and safety monitoring.

Treatment occurs in a secure setting designed to be calm and therapeutic, featuring recreational therapy and group sessions to address underlying behavioral issues. I was glad to see that patients have noted the clean environment and caring staff as key components of their stabilization process, helping them prepare for a return to community based living.

Medical Detox and Geriatric Psychiatry

In addition to mental health stabilization, the facility offers detoxification services and specialized support for geriatric psychiatry. Patients have access to a large multi purpose treatment room and kitchen, ensuring that physical and behavioral health needs are met during their short term hospital stay.

Ridgeview Pavilion serves Bristol and the Southwest Virginia area from its facility on North Street, offering 24/7 inpatient access. They accept private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare and Tricare options.
