About Wedgwood Christian Services

Wedgwood Christian Services provides residential and intensive outpatient substance abuse and co-occurring mental health treatment for adolescents and adults. The program is open to males and females. It’s a faith-based service that works to address substance use but also the underlying causes of addiction. They’re in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

They offer a person-centered approach to treatment. Medication assisted treatment is used in combination with therapeutic methods to give you comprehensive addiction treatment. You will learn how to evaluate and develop healthier coping skills. Group therapy sessions are held daily and will help you identify substance abuse triggers and give you techniques to avoid those people and places.

You’ll get introduced to the 12 Step model, which helps you take accountability and responsibility for your actions and sobriety. They have weekly criteria work to complete and include individualized coaching and mentoring where you will set goals and learn how to navigate recovery.

Motivational interviewing is one of the main therapy methods offered in the first phase of treatment. You’ll learn about lifestyle changes that can help you avoid the temptations of substance use. They offer a Christian continuum of care to help bring transformation to those affected by substance addiction.
