About Nevada We Care
If you or someone you know is a woman struggling with alcohol or drug addiction, We Care Foundation in Las Vegas, Nevada, might be exactly the place to start fresh. This nonprofit recovery home has been quietly doing life-changing work since 1961, which is more than six decades of helping women get sober, stay sober and rebuild their lives from the ground up. We Care Foundation isn’t a giant facility, either. It’s intentionally small, so they can only house six to eight women at a time. This helps to keep the vibe personal, intimate and community focused.
The program offered at We Care Foundation is rooted in the 12 Steps and focuses on deep self-examination, taking accountability and building a completely new way of living. Women here learn to recognize harmful patterns, build healthy habits and connect with a network of other sober women. Some of the women you’ll be in connection with are just starting their journey to sobriety while others have walked in it for decades.
Recovery Built for Women, By Women
To me, what sets We Care Foundation apart is how deeply the team understands the unique experiences women face in recovery. The house is run by women, for women, with a strong focus on shared growth, peer support and treating every resident with dignity and respect. There are no locked doors and no sterile hospital feel - just a safe and structured place where women support women.
The program offered at We Care includes regular 12 Step meetings, life skills support and chances to connect with alumni who’ve completed the program and are thriving. I think that kind of community keeps women motivated and reminds them that long-term sobriety is possible.
And for women who want help but feel like finances are standing in the way, We Care’s scholarship fund can help cover the cost of a full 30-day stay. That means more women get the chance to break free from addiction, reconnect with family and return to their communities with a real sense of purpose.
