About Volunteers of America

Volunteers of America Texas Riverside Drive is a faith-based nonprofit program in Fort Worth, Texas. They strive to help adults find healing from addiction, abuse, homelessness and other life challenges. You can access specialized programs as well as therapeutic interventions to achieve your recovery goals.

Whether you need 24/7 support or can attend care while living at home, they have an option for you. Their programs offer various treatment models to meet your unique situation. Along with treatment best practices, you can access additional services to enhance other essential recovery aspects.

What stands out most to me is their specialized programs. You can participate in tailored medication assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid addiction. This approach helps you manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms that can hinder recovery. They complement care with behavioral therapies to help you get to the root of your addiction.

Another amazing feature I noticed was their targeted programs for women with children and pregnant women. These programs provide safe spaces to live among other women with similar goals as you grow in recovery. You'll also benefit from tailored care focused on the unique factors that can contribute to addiction in women. Additionally, they offer parenting classes along with treatment for domestic abuse and trauma. These approaches can help you address underlying causes and past experiences to build a solid foundation for recovery.

I also think it's great that they help you achieve other essential goals. You can access financial support services, vocational training, employment preparation and housing placement. These aspects of life can be vital in sustaining recovery. They aim to set you up for success in your journey by helping you work on these aspects as you complete treatment.
