About Volunteers of America Massachussets

Mens Hello House is a residential substance use disorder and mental health treatment facility for adult men and is located in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. This is the main office for the program. This nonprofit organization offers this CARF-accredited program at two locations: Mass Avenue and Burt Street.

Medication Assisted Treatment

They offer medication assisted treatment (MAT) for those who are recovering from opioid or alcohol use to help with withdrawal symptoms and cravings. They offer a treatment team of recovery support specialists, care coordinators and clinicians. I like that they supplement your MAT with other recovery supports including education groups, counseling, employment support and housing services to assist you on your journey to recovery.

Accommodating Environment

One thing I found helpful for many is that they will make accommodations for individuals who may have difficulty finding a rehab that will work with them. This center can help you if you have HIV/AIDS or cognitive issues. They can also work with you if you take prescriptions of controlled substances or need to use syringes for medications.
