Volunteer Behavioral Health or VBH is a premier provider of community focused mental health care and substance use recovery in Tennessee. This location is in Gallatin, Tennessee but their continuum of tailored treatment serves communities across 58 counties in middle Tennessee, southeast Tennessee and the Upper Cumberland region. VBH promotes improved health and general wellbeing among residents of these communities.
The Cumberland Mental Health Services in Gallatin is one of VBH’s 21 outpatient facilities. You can access both outpatient (OP) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) in this facility to address your substance use issues or co-occurring disorders. The facility also offers jail reentry services for folks involved with the criminal justice system. Specialized programs are available for people who are homeless and for family members of veterans.
Flexible Care for Lasting Recovery
Cumberland Mental Health Services offers evidence based outpatient care that equips you with recovery skills that inspire a sober lifestyle while avoiding relapse. The core attraction is the flexibility the program offers. This is because it enables you to maintain your job commitment or family responsibilities by receiving therapy. Their IOP delivers structured and relatively intensive evidence based therapy in a group session.
You’ll also receive psychiatric support including psychiatric evaluation and medication management if you’re dealing with co-occurring disorders. This integrated approach ensures holistic healing. The program may last up to 12 weeks after which you can step down to OP to continue receiving support. The program also emphasizes family involvement to strengthen your support network.
