About Cumberland Mental Health

Volunteer Behavioral Health is a nonprofit community organization that provides behavioral health services across many counties in Tennessee. The Hendersonville Campus, known as Cumberland Mental Health, was located in Hendersonville, Tennessee and provided substance use treatment and recovery services to adults and adolescents.

I noticed they also offered a number of other services such as psychiatric medication management, outpatient therapy and supported systems for Veteran Families (SSVF). This location is currently closed, but their services are still accessible through the Gallatin Campus. Hendersonville Health Department will be moving at a future date.

Addiction Services in Hendersonville

Outpatient services were available for individuals struggling with addiction and any co-occurring disorders. The goal was to help you build the appropriate tools to live a sustainable healthy lifestyle.

The Hendersonville Campus offered outpatient counseling and encouraged family involvement. I think it can be important to surround yourself with a strong support system during the recovery process.

An intensive outpatient program (IOP) was also available which meant partaking in services at least three days a week, while still being able to continue daily tasks and responsibilities. These services took place in a group format. Aftercare was also an important element of treatment to ensure you have resources that support a long lasting recovery.

Immediate Support When Needed

Crisis intervention was a service available for individuals needing immediate support for any mental health or substance use crises through mobile crisis response teams. The staff could intervene in a variety of different places whether that be homes, jails or physician’s offices.
