About Vantage Point Recovery

Located in Thousand Oaks, California, Vantage Point Recovery is an outpatient treatment center for individuals dealing with drug and alcohol addiction. The services they offer include an intensive outpatient program, case management, and brainspotting therapy. You can also receive treatment for complex mental health disorders that could be occurring with your addiction, such as PTSD, bipolar disorder and anxiety.

A Variety of Therapeutic Approaches

One of the things I like about this facility is the variety of treatments that are provided. You can receive traditional therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. These treatments can help you to change negative beliefs hindering your recovery and improve your emotional regulation. Additionally, they use holistic therapeutic approaches such as yoga, meditation and hypnotherapy. The staff will decide on the right combination of treatment options to support your needs.

Brainspotting Therapy for Mental Wellness

Some clients may have severe trauma that could be causing their addiction issues. One unique therapeutic approach I noticed this facility provides is brainspotting. It’s designed to treat stress related mental health issues. During this therapeutic approach, a therapist will use a pointer to position your gaze so they can target specific sources of negative emotions, which are known as brainspots. By activating your emotional pain, it may help stimulate the healing process in your brain.

Connecting You With Community Resources

The case management team is ready to partner with you in finding resources in the community to support your recovery. The staff strives to connect you to the highest quality services at a reasonable cost. The case manager may be able to connect you to services that can assist you with your mental health, medical needs, and housing. They might also choose certain services on your behalf if they feel those services are in your best interest.

Attractions to Enjoy in Thousand Oaks

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

When a person is struggling with addiction, their actions and emotions may not be rational. Cognitive behavioral therapy in California helps individuals understand better why they feel and act certain ways and how those emotions and actions can lead to substance abuse.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is an evidence-based complementary approach to addiction treatment in which clients enter an induced state of deep relaxation. Once the client has entered this hypnotic state, the hypnotherapist uses various techniques, including guided imagery and positive affirmations, to help clients “unlearn” negative behaviors, such as substance misuse, and adopt healthy ones. The approach supports clients’ long-term mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing and reduces their risk of relapse by tapping into the power of the subconscious mind.

LGBTQ Friendly Rehab

The incidence of substance abuse and addiction is higher among the LBGTQ community. That’s why LBGTQ-friendly rehab in California is available, to offer specialized treatment that addresses the unique needs of individuals in this demographic.

Men's Rehab

Gender-specific addiction treatment programs may be more effective in treating men because they focus on unique needs of males. Men’s rehab in California is designed to help men process emotions and cope with stress in a judgment-free environment.

Opioid Treatment

For those who are struggling with opioid use disorder, help is available at opioid rehab in California. This complex addiction can be treated through a combination of evidence-based therapies and medication assisted treatment.

Women's Rehab

Women’s rehab in California provides a safe environment where women can work through addiction challenges surrounded by their gender peers. This often creates an environment that is more conducive to recovery.

Teen & Adolescent Program

Typically, a young adult program in California can guide individuals from detox, through initial treatment, and extends to aftercare. Treatment gives young adults what they need to reset their lives and move to the next stage of life free from addiction.
