About Valley Rescue Mission Columbus

The Valley Rescue Mission provides substance abuse treatment for adults. Their residential treatment programs are intended to provide a safe space for guests to focus fully on becoming sober. These programs are gender-specific so you can heal without distractions. They’re located in Columbus, Georgia.

Their program has three phases that begin with an evaluation period that lasts 90 days. You’ll attend addiction recovery classes and work therapy. That includes chapel services, classes, Bible devotions, and Bible studies. It’s important to note that for men, it’s only the first 90 days of the 9 to 12 month program that are in Columbus. The rest of the program is at their Crossroads center in Hamilton, Georgia. For both men and women, though, there are outpatient aftercare services in Columbus, too.

As you progress through the program, you’ll learn to rebuild broken relationships and have more self-esteem and discipline. Your days will include four hours of Bible study, life skills classes, addiction recovery resources, and four hours of work therapy.

The aftercare service is offered in phase three and is optional but encouraged. The aftercare program is where they help you transition back into the community by setting goals, learning accountability, and receiving mentoring in your recovery. The employment coaches help you find jobs, apply for those jobs, and send resumes. Their goal is to show you that there is hope and that full recovery is possible.
