Just a few miles away from the historic 25th street in Ogden, Utah, is Ogden VA Clinic. With three innovative programs I can see how this facility has been helping veterans in the area for many years. Located next to the Ogden Central Station, this facility is easily accessible, making it convenient for both visitors and permanent residents. Most services will be covered under VHA, but if a copayment is required they do offer self-pay.
Substance Abuse Programs for Veterans
This facility offers a great outpatient program to address PTSD, depression and addiction. Veterans who require more treatment like residential or inpatient care will be referred to other partnered facilities. At the end of the day, they just want to help those that have fought for our country by doing whatever they can to assist our heroes.
Innovative Programs
In addition to substance use disorder treatment, this facility offers other services to address co-occurring medical needs. Their Close to Me Care Delivery Models initiative provides anti-cancer therapy at your nearest outpatient clinic to reduce travel time to and from your treatment. Their Patient-Aligned Care Teams (PACT) puts physical therapists directly into your primary care to reduce referrals by treating your musculoskeletal needs onsite. Their Intermediate Care Technician (ICT) is one of my favorite programs because it hires former military medics or corpsmen to work at the VA medical centers.
