VA Palo Alto Health Care System serves the needs of veterans, military personnel, and their families. The specialty mental healthcare services are available at the Livermore Division location, which provides outpatient addiction treatment, including medication assisted treatment (MAT). The center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The treatment team provides a comprehensive mental health assessment, individualized treatment plan, counseling, and/or medication. Some of the evidence based therapies include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and MAT. No referrals are required but veterans and their families must first book an appointment to receive care.
