M Health Fairview Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Addiction Intensive Outpatient Programs is located in Maplewood, Minnesota. This location is just west of Maplewood Mall, where you can have an enjoyable experience of eating, shopping and playing. A great thing about this location is that it runs as a dual adolescent intensive outpatient program. The dual program has four mental health specialty programs: Adolescent Outpatient Program, Counseling Center, Adolescent Day Treatment Program, and Psychiatry.

Whole Person Care

At M Health Fairview, you have a coordinated team of providers, social health workers and community health workers that work together in assuring you are working toward overcoming life challenges and moving toward healthy living. The mental health team at M Health Fairview recognizes that your mental, emotional and social well being significantly impacts your physical health and overall well being, so your whole health is considered and treated.

To receive this treatment, you must meet criteria set by The Minnesota Department of Human Services. These requirements are that you must be insured and be diagnosed with a constant mental illness.

Adolescent Co-occurring Disorders Outpatient Treatment

In this program, you are treated for mental illness and serious emotional disturbances. They also address compulsive gambling, psychosis, anxiety and schizophrenia.

There is one specialty program that is used for treatment that stands out to me. This specialty program is their partial hospitalization program (PHP). This team based approach helps stabilize your symptoms and improve your ability to manage life stressors. This is a short-term three week program Monday through Friday for five hours a day.

Wellness through Psychiatry

Providers at M Health Fairview assist in providing knowledge and compassionate care for those with mental health needs. They are available to help you and your family understand your illness and develop a plan to rebuild your life.

Their approach at the Psychiatric Clinic is to offer wellness services to help your overall mental and emotional wellbeing. Their blended approach of integrative and functional medicine include brain-friendly nutrition and supplements, acupuncture, mindfulness practices and mind-body movement. Something I found at this outpatient program that isn’t offered everywhere is that they include holistic health coaches and yoga instructors. I think it’s fantastic that they offer these additional unique supports to help you on your journey.
