About Twin Lakes Recovery Center
Twin Lakes Recovery Center is a Joint Commission accredited residential treatment facility for substance misuse in Monroe, Georgia. Accreditation by reputable independent organizations like the Joint Commission indicates a commitment to quality care. Many past clients have also praised them for providing a positive recovery experience during their stay. The facility is nestled in a peaceful 35 acre setting just outside Atlanta.
Their serene setting creates a calm atmosphere that, alongside the wooded property, provides a safe, scenic recovery environment. This fosters meditation, reflection and growth during recovery. Ample recreational activities are available, from basketball to fishing, to nature walks and volleyball. They also boast an exceptional clinical team that is compassionate, friendly and experienced in individualized treatment. Their low staff to client ratio of 1:1 means you’ll receive outstanding attention and support whenever needed. They also offer seasonal curriculum based on prevailing seasonal triggers.
Their residential treatment starts with assessment and individualized treatment planning. This is followed by medical detox and inpatient rehabilitation. Detox is geared toward removing addiction related toxins from your body in preparation for the main therapy. Keep in mind that you may not necessarily need a detox. The comprehensive assessment will tell the clinical team if there's a need for that. This expert team facilitates safe and comfortable detox in a homelike setting with 24/7 supervision. They’ll administer appropriate medicine if necessary to ease the pains of withdrawal and cravings. You can expect to receive personalized care and nurturing during this process. You’ll also have access to 12 Step meetings, addiction education and process groups during the procedure.
After detox you can continue your recovery via their inpatient rehabilitation. This program is designed to deliver intensive interventions and education that supports an alcohol/drug free lifestyle. They integrate clinically proven practices like dialectical behavior therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy with 12 Step works and experiential activities. This is provided in both individual and group therapeutic formats. The group therapy includes various recovery aspects including relapse prevention, life skills and discharge planning. They also offer daily process groups, mindfulness and exercise and wellness activities. This is in addition to daily 12 Step meetings like AA/NA on and off site. Family counseling and educational support are provided to help improve communication and mend relationships with loved ones. They also offer robust and supportive alumni programming with weekly meetings and fun quarterly get togethers. Emphasis is on helping you find joy in recovery.
Psychiatric care like psychiatric evaluation and medication management is provided to support those battling with co-occurring disorders. You’ll also receive substance use and co-occurring disorders education to help you better understand addiction and the recovery resources available to you. Discharge planning may involve referral to their outpatient treatment or connection to community resources like housing and employment. You can join their alumni network for ongoing care. Upon joining you will be granted access to the CaredFor where you’ll receive updates on meetings, social gatherings and events.
