Twin Lakes Intensive Outpatient Facility provides substance use disorder (SUD) treatment in an intimate setting to ensure that you’ll receive individualized attention and care in Athens, Georgia. This facility offers an intensive outpatient program designed for someone who is either already sober, or is actively participating in a medication assisted treatment (MAT) detox program elsewhere.

Intensive Outpatient Care

I appreciate that Twin Lakes offers a 12 week intensive outpatient program (IOP) designed to help you build a successful skillset to maintain your sobriety once you complete the program. Clients will meet three times a week for three hours per session.

I like that this program incorporates a variety of therapeutic solutions with both group and individual sessions which may include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and solution focused therapy. You’ll learn to manage negative thoughts limiting your recovery and develop relapse prevention tools. The program helps you to identify your triggers, and aids in helping you find healthier ways to manage your stress.

Twin Lakes Intensive Outpatient Facility is just minutes away from downtown Athens. In between treatment sessions, you can enjoy a nice walk at Dudley Park or visit a variety of local restaurants and shops.

Twin Lakes operates a detox and residential program in Monroe, Georgia. If necessary, clients can be referred to this location to receive more intensive care services.
