About Turning Point IOP

Turning Point IOP was an intensive outpatient program in Franklin, PA that helped adults work through addiction without moving into a residential setting. It’s part of the Turning Point network, so if clients had already done detox or shorter-term treatment there, they could step right into IOP and keep building on what they started. They accepted Medicaid, private insurance and self‑pay and also helped you figure out what made sense for your budget.

Treatment On Your Schedule

Clients would come in several days a week for group sessions and one‑on‑one counseling but still have time to take care of their daily responsibilities. They taught you practical stuff like cognitive behavioral treatment to better manage the thoughts that influenced your addiction.
Additional treatment services that were available included relapse prevention planning and 12‑step work. The staff also used the motivational interviewing approach to help keep clients motivated in their recovery. Anger management was available to help you manage intense emotions without using substances.

A Diverse Population

Turning Point IOP was open to anyone over 18, including young adults and men and women. They may have also been able to accommodate folks who were deaf or hard of hearing. Clients could encounter people at different points in recovery, which could be good for sharing experiences and not feeling alone.
Once clients were done with treatment for the day they could wander over to the Franklin Historic District to enjoy a quick walk among old Victorian homes. They could also hit the Allegheny Trail if they needed some fresh air and time to relax after treatment.
