About Turning Point of Central Florida Orlando

Turning Point of Central Florida provided specialized intensive outpatient treatment for addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders in the Orlando area in Florda. However, it has since closed.

When they were in operation, the facility offered a full outpatient continuum, with its intensive track as the cornerstone for adults and young adults seeking dual diagnosis care. I think this integrated approach helped clients build a stable foundation for lasting recovery while maintaining their daily responsibilities.

Intensive Outpatient Treatment at Turning Point

The intensive program treated both men and women ages 18 and older who face substance use and mental health challenges together. Operating exclusively in outpatient settings without residential housing, the program specialized in dual diagnosis care and accepts clients both on and off opioid medications. Treatment included relapse prevention planning, brief interventions, and 24/7 crisis support when needed.

Clients participate in evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and 12 Steps Trauma-informed counseling addressed underlying issues while structured groups developed coping skills and relapse prevention strategies. I noticed that the flexible schedule allowed individuals to apply recovery skills in real-world settings immediately.

Your Step-by-Step Recovery Path

The journey at Turning Point followed a structured progression from admission through aftercare:

  1. Comprehensive dual diagnosis assessment and individualized treatment planning
  2. Active participation in intensive outpatient sessions several times per week
  3. Evidence-based therapy and trauma counseling to address root causes
  4. Relapse prevention training and life skills development
  5. Personalized aftercare planning with community resource connections

Additional Programs and Payment Options

Turning Point also offered standard outpatient counseling and continuing care to support long-term sobriety. Family programming and case management services provided additional layers of support for clients and loved ones.

Even though this location is closed, there are others nearby that can assist you.
