About Tri County Human Services

Located in Lakeland, Florida, Tri County Human Services is a non profit organization that provides mental health, substance use and co occurring treatment services. This is their administrative office, but they can refer you to any of their services in Lakeland and throughout the state. The levels of care that clients can receive include detoxification, residential treatment, and outpatient treatment.

The organization accepts Medicaid HMOs and most health insurance plans for payment. Clients who are unable to pay can be assessed for their eligibility for funding programs that involve a sliding fee schedule.

Extensive Outpatient Programs For Individual Needs

One thing that really stood out to me about Tri County Human Services was the range of outpatient programs offered. One example is the intensive family centered care program. It provides family and parenting counseling to families that have a history or future risk of substance use.

It’s designed to improve parenting skills, reduce problem behaviors, and reduce alcohol and drug use in children. Another treatment program I like that the organization offers is the PATH Program. PATH stands for Projects for Assistance to Transition From Homelessness.

The staff assists homeless individuals who’ve been affected by substance use by connecting them to support services to access housing, employment and medication assistance. Additional services provided by Tri County Human Services are medication assisted treatment and psychiatric care.

Easy Access To Treatment

The process of getting access to treatment starts with a simple phone call. Clients can call the outpatient clinic they’re interested in visiting. A receptionist will ask you for information and make an appointment for you.

As you go through the process of recovery at the facility, you can start finding new activities to enjoy in Lakeland. There are numerous lakes you can relax near, such as Lake Hollingsworth and Lake Mirror.

Gender-specific addiction treatment gives men who are struggling with substance use disorders a connection point to other men with similar struggles. This common ground can make a huge impact on men’s rehab in Florida.
