About The Transition House, Inc. – Work Release Program

The Kissimmee Work Release Program is one of four residential reentry programs operated by The Transition House to help adult men reintegrate after incarceration. Kissimmee Reentry Center is situated east of Oak Street Extension Preserve and Historic Downtown Kissimmee within Osceola County. It’s accessible by public transportation, with Lynx bus routes serving the area. The facility offers a communal setting where residents are empowered to build a future through personalized counseling and career training.

The Transition House was established in 1993 in St. Cloud as a halfway house to provide substance use treatment for homeless men. They’ve since expanded to provide comprehensive behavioral healthcare for individuals of all ages alongside housing assistance programs that foster self-sufficiency and a safe community where everyone thrives.

Healing, Growth and a New Start

For those ready to let go of the past, the Kissimmee Reentry Center offers a path to lasting healing through evidence-based therapy, peer support groups and mentoring. Such challenges encompass substance dependence, mental health issues and family reunification. You’ll attend job training and development sessions to gain practical job-readiness tools from résumé building and interview prep to workplace communication and professional conduct.

They’ll even assist with job placement as part of their commitment to helping you secure employment and build a stable long-term career. You’ll also benefit from educational support, such as GED prep and adult education. You’ll be assisted in accessing and navigating primary medical care resources, including insurance options, to stay on top of your overall health.

Community support and integration are integral components. This is achieved through civic engagement and volunteering opportunities. By giving back, you not only make a positive impact but also build valuable skills and strengthen your self-worth. You’ll have community resources and support groups to stay on track as you move forward.
