Safe Effective Methadone Treatment in Marietta
Marietta is a city north of Atlanta, only 15 miles from the historic Martin Luther King, Jr., birth home, and MLK Historical Park. The treatment center offered medically supervised methadone maintenance treatment.
One good thing about methadone is that it’s a safe alternative to opioids, such as heroin and prescription painkillers, of which many clients are dependent. Methadone reduces drug cravings without making you high so you can live a normal life.
Clients may stay on methadone for years if necessary but some patients can come off of it within months. One excellent aspect about this program was that services included case management, counseling, and other psychosocial services.
Additionally, this program connected clients with educational guidance, vocational training, and legal assistance. I love that they had an established network so they could refer clients to many community resources.
This SUD center is now permanently closed, but you can find treatment programs close by.
