About Tompkins County Mental Health Services

Become a PRO

The recovery services help those with severe mental illness and/or substance use disorder that is impacting their ability to succeed at school, work or personal life.

The Personalized Recovery Oriented Services (PROS) program lasts 12 weeks and includes support in developing coping skills and problem solving strategies, improving relationships, and learning life skills to help you live independently after treatment. They have ongoing support to help you maintain stability as you take on work and other responsibilities.

There are also a variety of peer led activities including writing, art, gardening, games, and meditation.

Reentry Support in Tompkins County

I noticed that they also have a comprehensive program to help those leaving the county jail. The program provides a reentry case manager to understand each client’s needs and 60-90 days of support.

Services may include help finding housing, setting goals for employment, and enrolling in social services. They also connect clients to harm reduction services if needed.
