About Tiger Mountain Recovery
Set on a ranch in Henryetta, Oklahoma, Tiger Mountain Recovery was a live in addiction recovery program for women. The center closed in May 2021. Equine therapy was used as a major part of the healing process.
Run by a retired nurse and medical doctor couple, the ladies were cared for physically and mentally. They learned about addiction. They got counseling for mental health challenges. Spiritual healing and growth played a big part of their recovery.
What I liked about them is the beautiful location. The ladies would have benefitted from being surrounded by the serenity of nature.
Ladies said this place was where they got their lives back. They talked about the location and the building being part of their healing. Others commented on how cared for and loved they felt.
